Milton Charles Cochran, 68, was born on January 6, 1947 in Derby, Ct. and passed away in Scottsdale, AZ on September 11, 2015. Milton moved from Ct. to AZ in 1978 to get away from the harsh winters and humid summers. Milt was a baseball southpaw legend growing up in Seymour, Ct. He started throwing curve balls, fast balls and knuckle balls. Milton graduated from Seymour high school in 1964 but his pitching arm gave out due to overuse and he had to turn down several tryouts, including colleges, the Yankees and Red Sox. He played for the Kopus Kats in the Middlesex county. He was an outstanding hitter as well and stills holds the Seymour baseball records for the most wins by a pitcher in a single season. He entered the Navy in December 1965 and was stationed at the US Submarine Base in New London and at Camp Lejeune, NC before his Vietnam tour. In July, Milt set off a mortor round that caused him to spend 3 years in various VA Hospitals and Military Hospitals. The past 48 years were nothing but suffering and surgeries. Milt met Marguerite at the VA Hospital while she was training to be an x-ray tech and were later married and you could never find a happier couple. Milton is survived by his loving wife Marguerite and his beautiful daughter Colleen and his two grandchildren Kailey and Aidan. He was precedeased by his parents Antoinette and Charles Cochran. In his spare time, Milt enjoyed listening to Elvis and all the oldies. Milt had a heart of gold and he will be missed greatly by all of those who were lucky enough to know Doc. Interment will be at a future date at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
