Minnie Ruth (Davis) Simmons born in Lumberton, North Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late George and Minnie Davis, Robeson County, North Carolina. She was called to eternal rest on January 9, 2017 at her son's home in Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded by her sister and two brothers.
She was reared and raised in Lumberton, NC. After moving to Boston, Ma in 1958 she joined Southern Baptist Church where she remained a member of her passing. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2016.
Her favorite pastime was helping others and serving God. She worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 1968 until retirement in 1984.
She leaves behind her son Carl A. Simmons (Carolyn) of Phoenix, AZ and four grand-children; Ulysses Simmons (Barbara) Sacramento, CA; Antione Simmons (Carolyn K.) Colorado Springs, CO; Catrina Reed (Kenneth) Kalamazoo, MI; Amber R Jones (Michael), Phoenix, AZ; 5 Great-grandchildren and Great- Great- grand grandchildren that will surely miss her; A host of great-grand nieces, nephews and dearly beloved friends.
