Nicky was best understood by her brother-in-law and buddy, Ed Fischer (Eddie). She loved and adored everyone that she came across and all her family as well. Nicky was a loving and talkative person, she loved making phone calls. Her favorite things to do were crochet, crafts and watching either the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals or the Hallmark Channel. Nicky was always warm and smiling no matter what happened. She loved parties and holidays gatherings, she especially loved going to Laughlin, NV and playing slot machines as well. She wasn’t the type to be down and depressed, she was always a ray of sunshine and always cracking jokes. For decades Nicky was actively involved in PeopleFirst and Ability 360 advocating rights for people with disabilities. She also was involved with Arizona Recreation Center for the Handicap and for years participated in the Special Olympic events in Illinois and Arizona.
“Grief is love with nowhere to go.” Nicky was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all! But it’s not forever, it’s not good-bye, it’s see you later.
