Oksana, a beacon of love, resilience, and grace, passed away peacefully in her home on June 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 12, 1946, in Moscow, Russia, to Lyubov and Anatoly, Oksana lived a life rich in culture, beauty, and selfless devotion to those around her. At 13, she became a proud older sister to Yelena, a bond that shaped her youth and grew into a lifelong friendship.
After completing university, Oksana married Levon Sarkisov at the age of 24. Together, they embraced a life of travel and discovery, exploring the world from the shores of Sri Lanka to the Baltic Sea. A passionate lover of the arts, she often found joy at the Bolshoi Theater and in the quiet inspiration of museums.
In 1991, Oksana and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Though the move brought challenges, her determination never wavered. She earned her cosmetology license and built a career as a stylist.
Oksana was a gifted musician, a graceful pianist and a talented violinist.Her love for art extended into her everyday life, she grew the most beautiful roses, each one a reflection of the care and patience she gave so freely.
She found joy exploring the city of Phoenix, especially its gardens, art galleries, and symphonies, which reminded her of home and her lifelong love for culture and refinement.
Oksana’s nurturing heart extended beyond her immediate family. She helped raise her beloved niece Irina, forming a connection that remained at the center of her life. In 2004, her heart grew even fuller with the birth of Irina’s twins, Mason and Dylan. She
adored them beyond measure, becoming their most devoted supporter.
To all who knew her, Oksana was the embodiment of love. She gave freely, listened deeply, and cared endlessly. There was not a soul who didn’t feel her warmth. She was a mother to us all.
May her memory be our comfort, her spirit our strength, and her love our guiding light. Her legacy of kindness and grace will live on forever.
