Orlando P. Montoya, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by his family. A man of remarkable courage and resilience, Orlando lost the ability to walk as a child yet never allowed that challenge to define him. He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army, carrying with him the strength and determination that characterized his life. Orlando’s greatest joy was his family. He shared more than 56 years of marriage with his wife, Leonor, and was the proud father of four children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, intelligence, and his gift for making everyone around him feel valued and loved. His presence brought love, laughter, and warmth to the lives of those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and cherished memories that will live on through his family. Orlando is survived by his wife, Leonor; children, Roxanne, Carmen, Orlando, and Daniel; grandchildren, Christopher, Clarise, Jacob, Victoria, Alexander, Jitzel, Elijah, and Sophia; and great-grandchild, Olivia. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Reno, Johnny, Henry, Feliciano, and Julia. A Visitation will be held at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85013, on October 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032, on October 13, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Committal Service at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024, on October 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
