Orleta June Edwards

Orleta June Edwards, age 91, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on Saturday, October, 2024. Orleta is survived by her husband Frank, daughters Elaine and Gail, sons-in-law Steve and Larry, grandsons Joshua and Jarad, and, by seven siblings.

Orleta was born in Hutchinson, Kansas. She grew up there and, later, in Missouri on a farm where she developed strength and life skills. She put these skills to good use as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and dedicated member of her church, PEO chapter and other organizations who work for the betterment of the community.

Orleta had a career as a laboratory technician. She loved music, cooking, and sewing.

Orleta was quick to extend hospitality and support to those around her. Her warm and caring smile could make your day sunnier. Her good sense of humor could lift your spirits, or, if needed, remind you to reset your baseline. She was well grounded and realistic while still optimistic. Her strong faith sustained her and made her a positive force for all who came into her orbit. Now, she shines upon us from heaven.

A graveside service for Orleta will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85050.
