Patricia Ann Bryda, age 87, a loving, kind, and caring soul, passed away on April 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ted, and their infant son, David. She leaves behind her devoted children: Chrisanne, Steven, Susan, and Daniel. Pat was a proud and cherished grandmother to Joshua, Michael, Jason, Laura, Eric, Max, Carter, Jack, and Hadley, and a loving great-grandmother to Dezi, Jameson, Evelyn, and Finley. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Kathleen and Phyllis.
Throughout their six decades of marriage, Pat and Ted shared a life filled with adventure and love, moving from their native New Jersey to Massachusetts, Ohio, and Illinois, before ultimately retiring in Arizona. Pat flourished in Arizona, embracing the sunshine and building a rich social life after a successful career in real estate. She enjoyed weekly luncheons with close friends and proudly served as treasurer of her HOA.
Family was always at the center of Pat’s world. She was the heart of the Bryda family—her kitchen the gathering place for Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, and meaningful conversation. She had an extraordinary memory for birthdays, anniversaries, and special milestones, never missing an opportunity to send a thoughtful card or make a heartfelt call. Her famous homemade Irish soda bread became a treasured family tradition, a recipe she lovingly passed on to the next generation.
Though Pat was a deeply private person, her impact on those around her was profound. In keeping with her wishes, no memorial services will be held at this time. She placed herself in the hands of the Lord and will be laid to rest at a future date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Whippany, New Jersey, with a graveside service.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
