Patricia J. Christie

Patricia was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania on March 17th, 1933 at Sharon General Hospital to her parents Mary & Arthur Pagonis. She attended college at Westminster, Penn State, and Youngstown University to obtain her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. During this time, Patricia worked in a hospital in New York, as well as Cornell University doing cancer research work. With her degree obtained, she went on to work as a Medical Technologist for seventeen years at different hospitals and laboratories. This profession was not her only, as Patricia later taught as a substitute for elementary grade students in Ohio, and Arizona.

When Patricia was not working, she enjoyed playing the piano, taking dancing lessons, traveling, and being a mom to her two kids, and many dogs. She was an accomplished musician, and traveled to many places including Europe, the Mediterranean, and the French & Italian Riviera.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty one years, George Paul Christie. She is survived by her son Paul Christie, daughter and son in law Maria & Craig Brennan, grandson Jason Smith (Nicole Gray), and great-grandchildren Dylan, Maddelynn and Ella Smith.

A funeral service for Patricia will be held on Thursday August 22nd, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church 7950 W Pinnacle Peak Road, Peoria, AZ 85383. A committal service will directly follow at 12:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
