Dusty was a person who lived life fully.  I will truly

In 1987, Mom met the love of her life, Darrell L. Wolfe (Lee).  Lee understood mom and he could see her true character underneath her gruffness.  Lee spoiled mom like she had never been spoiled before.  If she wanted something, Lee got it for her.  He treated her like a queen, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I honestly don't think Lee ever told her, 'No!'  Lee was mom's rock.  He nursed her back to health numerous times, even though she was a difficult, somewhat crabby, demanding patient.  I know she was never an easy one.  But still, Lee was a trooper.  Every wife needs a husband like Lee.  Robbie, my husband of 34 years, could learn a thing or two from Lee...
Mom leaves behind her precious husband, Darrell L. Wolfe (Lee), a daughter and son-in-law,  Toni and Robbie Dixon and their daughter, Zoey Marie, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon.   She also leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Angie Budel, and their two children, Alayna Stewart (Cal) of North Carolina, and Peter Benjamin of Myrtle Creek, Oregon.  And finally, she leaves behind her last-born, Dani Lee and her fiance, George Sapp ll (whom I'm sure she would have loved), of Kalispell, Montana,  and Dani's children, Alex (daughters, Zora, 3, and Savannah, 2), Derek, and McKenzie.  
Tonight, when you go home and think about your day, raise your glass for our mom, and toast a life well-lived.  We love you, mom.  There will never be another like you.  Stay ornery. We wouldn't want you any other way.  All our love.

Our mom, born Patricia Lee Anderson on January 8, 1948 to Anton Anderson and Mildred Dye in Stockton,  California.  Mom was an only child, but  was doted on by her mother's brothers, John, Royce, Roland (Bud), and grandma's cousin, Luther.  She never knew her grandparents or her father's side of the family.  However, she was the apple of her father's eye- being his only offspring.  He died when she was in her teens.
Mom grew up mostly in Chula Vista, California.  When she was 17, she made a friend at school who introduced her to her brother, my father, Ray Budel.  Before long, mom got pregnant and I made them both young parents.  Fourteen months later, Raphael George Budel lll was born.  Now, they really had their hands full.  Life was difficult.  Although both sets of parents helped as much as they could, being so young and married proved too difficult and soon they were divorced.  Both moved on.
Mom took on many jobs trying to raise us.  She was a hair dresser at the Grecian Goddess, a waitress at Bob's Big Boy, a customer service representative at Fed Mart,  and a bar tender at numerous bars in the San Diego area, to name a few.  Somewhere along the line, she learned how to drive a fork lift and how to weld- both occupations that she loved and had many fond memories of.
In 1977, a year after her mother died, mom met George Armstrong, whom she had her third child with.  Dani Lee Armstrong was born in November of 1978.  Unfortunately, her parents would split after she was born.  Dani ended up being raised by her father.
Mom was always game for fun.  Sometimes, she beat the law.  Other times, the law beat her.  Such was the case when she was incarcerated for a few years in the 80's.  She learned her lesson, she paid her dues to society, and she came back stronger than before.  I admired her so much for that.   Although it was definitely a dark period in her life,  soon after, a light period was about to begin.  


Dusty shared many years of our lives through happy and sad. 
They were much fuller with her presence.
Lots of great memories riding many miles on the Harley's together.
We know she's laughing and having a good time with our son Virgil.
He was always in her heart after he passed.

Dear mama, 
Hope you're sleeping well. I have to finally believe, that the cold hand of death has taken you away. You better be giving them hell already up in heaven, with fat cat, Miss Haggie, and Bungee. I hope that my beautiful prayers and wishes will always get to you wherever you are. Sleep peacefully mom, farewell to you... I will miss you so much... Along with all your advice. you probably thought I never listened to or took to heart. You taught me so much about life. Rest well Mom.. Love you for eternity... 

As her physician for many years,I will surely miss her rolling into the office because you never knew what she was going to say or do  but it was always the highlight of my day . she and her husband would always banter back and forth but it was never an argument.
 I still have the can of Harley Davidson  beer she brought me from Daytona.

I Will truly miss Dusty.  She loved her Harley, had a great sense of humor that would always make you laugh. She always had a way of making you smile and brightening your day.   It was a blessing to get to know her through out the years as a patient in our office.   I loved her spunky contagious personality.  She had a sweet and kind heart and would do anything for you without thinking about it.  You can see the love between her and her husband, Darrell. What a lovely couple. May the Lord shower Darrell and the rest of the family with his comfort and love during this difficult time.   Love, Judy Friedle. 

We will always remember Dusty for her exuberant personality, her hats and her hand held fans.  She always had a smile on her face, always had nice things to say, and always made us laugh. She will be missed at her Doctor's office. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Justin, Carrie and Dr David Woods.
