I am at a loss. I had no idea Paul passed away. I had the pleasure of meeting paul in Ft Lauderdale in August of 1996. It was ground school for Custom Air Transport.  We flew together for 2 years at CAT. 

I will forever remember and be grateful to Paul for recommending me to join him at another airline, express.net nee transcontinental airlines. 

Paul  and another pilot then opened their home to me while we where in training. 

Paul's last act of friendship before our paths separated was to recommend me for captain, a gesture for which I was never able to properly thank.

I did get to occasionally pay down my debt to Paul, however, for I never said no to scaling a ladder to change a light bulb or hang hurricane shutters. If you truly new Paul, one could make the case that paul and were all square... 

Thank you Paul, for the life you helped me build. Rest in Peace.

We will all miss the sound of Paul's laughter. Deepest condolences the Janicki family.

Deepest sympathy for all of Paul's family...Paul was a loyal SMHS '83 classmate!  He is missed!

May god bless you all and may Paul rest in peace.  There are so many stories about Paul.  He coached me though many a wrestling practice pushing me to meet his level of effort.  We played freshman football together and I will always remember his 100 yard game! We hunted Javelina together and Paul was skilled and fun to be around.  He had been the main character in dozens of stories I have told my kids and youth groups and he will live always in my memories of growing up in Arizona. RIP

Paul will be missed dearly.  Lots of fond memories growing up, first meeting playing basketball on the same team in grade school with my Dad as our coach, wresting tournaments competing to who can win their weight classes, from the first time we commandeered his brother's stick shift car, later crashing it into his parents home in junior high, to showing me how to control a Cessna 152 in college.

On behalf of all of Paul's classmates at Shadow Mountain and Shea we want to offer our sincerest condolences to Paul's family.  We all remember Paul as a great athlete, a real prankster full of funny stories but mostly as a friend with a warm smile.  We will all miss him and we are grateful to him for his friendship. Sending our condolences and hopes that Paul's family will find meaningful ways to remember him. We pray that grief that begins as crashing waves would eventually turn to soft ones lapping the shores of your memory and that you would experience peace.

For Paul Janicki, Friends, and Family:
I want to extend my condolences for Paul.  We were friends in high school and dated a little off and on, including going to the prom our junior year.  Paul was always making me laugh ( including in the prom picture when he was squeezing my arm to make me laugh!)  He took me up flying in a small plane with his friend Scott Keil, and thought it was funny to try to scare me with loop-de-loop  tricks. When that didn't work, he deliberately stalled the plane and was screaming and laughing as I freaked out and begged him to turn it back on!
