We both remember the first time we met you in Minnesota at the Buffalo House Campground at a Scamp Meet. It was about 45 degrees (as usual near Duluth) and you both had matching shorts and t-shirts on. We all marveled that you weren't freezing. We all at the meet, enjoyed you both so much and we went on to enjoy your friendship in Quartzsite, AZ. We are honored to call ourselves good friends and we will miss Philip so much. Hope to see you down the road in a new adventure. If you are ever in MN anywhere near the Twin Cities, give us a call and come visit. Or if you are in Ontario, come see us at the fish camp.

With fondest memories, Jackie and Pete

Catherine, Mary and I were so sorry to hear about this. We had a lovely time when you stayed with us here in Connecticut. We often think of you and Philip, your cross country VW odyssey, and your clever system for converting your bus into a camper. We still have your hand crocheted VW emblem, which sits on Jeremiah’s piano in a place of honor. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

I met Phil & Cathy dancing! Back in the days when they had a huge converted greyhound looking bus that was converted into an RV. We would meet in Hayward (Cathy’s family is from there), or Fresno, Solvang, Tulare, Bakersfield, San Jose, Phil was this sparkling bundle of energy and laughter, warmth and friendliness to everyone! It was a joy to be around them both. They would stay in touch as they traveled around excited about a new “old/classic” VW or a Woody !! Phillip ‘s friendliness and smile I will always treasure!!! I will miss him!!!
