

Soto, Ramona C., 82, of Tempe, Arizona passed away peacefully on March 25, 2012. Ramona was born in Glendale, Arizona on February 4, 1930 to Alejandro and Pascuala Cabrera. She is survived by her adoring husband of 53 years, Joe and loving son, Stephen. She was a devoted wife, doting mother and active in her church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel. She worked as a Baker for Tempe Elementary School District, until she retired. She loved singing with her sisters’ Cabreras, and her family loved her delicious, homemade tortillas. She battled with Alzheimer’s disease and was cared for by her husband and son, whom took care of her while making sure she was safe and comfortable. Survivors include her sisters’ Antonia Martinez, Isabel Galindo, Esther Skaff and Josephine Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons’ Joseph and Augustine, brothers’ Carlos and Raymundo, sisters’ Guadalupe Perez, Shirley Maldonado, and Carmen Cadena. “She was so full of life and her presence could brighten a room. She always thought of others way before she thought of herself.” She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. There will be a Visitation Friday from 5-8 p.m. with Rosary 6 p.m. at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, Tempe. The Funeral Mass will Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Tempe.
