Born October 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Kenneth Worden and Martha (Kercher) Worden, our brother, uncle and friend, Randall Scott Worden has passed from this earth. After a long and courageous battle against it, cancer finally took him on November 3, 2019.
Randy lived in the Phoenix area from 1963 and graduated from Maryvale High School, and attended Arizona State University prior to working in the construction field. He was a lover of all sports, especially baseball and enjoyed all competition. His sense of humor is what endeared him to most people.
Randy served honorably in the United States Army as a Non-Morse Intercept Operator and achieved the rank of Specialist E-4 while stationed in Augsburg, Germany from 1974 to 1977. The relationships that he made while serving have endured over the decades and have given him much pleasure and satisfaction. The comradery and support from his brothers and sisters in arms gave him a quality of life he could not have had otherwise.
He is survived by two siblings: sister Cynthia Clark, brother Jeffrey Jay Worden and wife Shelly (Zeeman) Worden: and three nephews who he was so proud of, Michael Clark and wife Pacifica Frias Clark, Ryan Worden and wife Jacqueline (Lopez) Worden and Casey Worden. His great nieces and nephews are Chelsey Harms, Tristan, Kacie, Wes, Camille and Mason. Most recently Callie Rae his great, great niece got to know him.
A service with military honors and burial will be at The National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, AZ. on November 21, @ 2:00 pm. The address is 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix, AZ 85024.
