Born July 23, 1952 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jake and Florence (Price) Malone, passed away suddenly July 30, 2017. Becky was one of six children. Her Arizona education included University of Arizona, Phoenix College, and Washington High. Becky moved from Phoenix to California, while holding the Chief Purser position with United Airlines. After 40 years flying, Becky retired, and returned home to Phoenix.
Our sister, Rebecca, succumbed to a quiet and insidious disease: Mental Illness. Becky suffered valiantly from the ravages of this physically transparent illness since early adolescence. It is incurable and as deadly as cancer or heart disease. It is a disease of the mind and one’s mental outlook. In addition, after suffering two failed back surgeries Becky lost her will to live. Gone: Bec's love of golf, playing her guitar, making stained glass, gardening, and her number one rule "family first".
She is survived by brothers Dan Malone, Michael Malone, Brian Malone, sisters Kathleen (Malone) Whitfill, Marybeth (Malone) Ptacek and beloved nieces and nephews.
You are loved, and tearfully missed Bonzie! Private memorial to be held.
