Richard was a Phoenix native, born on February 3, 1962 to Ruben and Caroline Coronado. He enjoyed keeping up with friends and family. He had a passion for cooking and was a chef at many restaurants around the valley and most recently as a cook in the Apollo High School cafeteria where he loved following the sports and talking politics with some of the teachers. Richard also enjoyed baseball and listening to music, even working on a valley nighttime radio station with the late Mike Reynolds for a few years.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Mark. He is survived by his sister Alice, his brother Tommy, his nephew Matthew; his children, Ruben, Jacqueline, Cornelius, Robert and Mark; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Nathaniel, Alyssa, Lucas, and Emma.
Richard will be remembered for being a simple man who loved his family and enjoyed making people laugh. He will be greatly missed and not easily forgotten.
A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor on Friday June 25, 2021 at 10:00 am at:
