I'm sorry to Dicks family that I'm just posting this now. I just found out. 
He was my boss for about 16 years at Shortridge. Even though we didn't always see eye to eye on things, I respected him and did what he said. He was always fair to me in spite of my stubbornness. He actually reminded me of one of my grandpas and I he would give me that look and I knew I better do what he wanted. I do miss that influence. God speed Dick and I hope to see you in heaven.

I have never thought of you as a brother in law but as a brother. We have shared so many experiences as couples. The laughter at game nights was infectious, campfires and sharing our lives will never be forgotten. Some of our best times were visiting your “Love Nest” in CA. You always remembered I like a special kind of coffee, and always had it made and served as I rolled out of bed after a late evening. I have 59 years of memories  with both of you, and I will cherish each one of them.

We are brothers by blood, but we are friends by choice. You have always provided me a role model. I will miss you always until we see each other in Heaven.

I met the Dodge Family when my family moved to 37th Avenue and Thunderbird when I was in 3rd grade with Sandy.  I remember being at their house a lot growing up and Dick was always such a nice man. We always had a good time at the Dodge house 😊 When we were older, we would climb the ladder in the back yard over the fence to go to the store! Many many moons ago my mom brought me and my cousin Troy to Massachusetts to visit Aunt Sharon, Uncle Dick, Rick, Debbie, Tim and Sandi. On that trip Dick took us quahogging, pretty new thing for someone from PA to do, we had so much fun!! Many years later we met up again in Phoenix, how blessed was I to spend those two years with such a caring, gentle and kind aunt and uncle.

I will never forget the way he was so accepting of me into the family. Ever since the first time we met he was so nice and incredibly selfless. He instantly struck me as a person who cared and took care of others before himself. Which is a trait that many do not have, and it will always stick with me in life and make me want to be a better person. He will always be remembered and his spirit will be carried on by all of us.
We will forever and always love you.  

We were boyhood friends and we lost touch after high school. He remained a part of my fondest memories nonetheless. He was my ice skating, hiking, camping, buddy and I remember his younger brothers too. You had to feel happy around him - his upbeat personality was infectious. I remember him deciding he was going to pursue the pastor's daughter. It seems he knew how to pick a mate. Not all of us did. Our peers envied him. It's with sadness I learn of his passing and regret not staying close. I easily imagine how missed he will be by his family and friends.

I didn't know Dick well, but what I do remember is that he was a good person.  He lived on the same street as my Grandfather Campbell, and so once in a while I would see him or his  brothers in their lawn.

Grandpa was the most selfless, caring man you will have ever met. You could tell him anything and he was there to listen to you without judgement. He would laugh at your jokes (even if they weren't funny) and was always happy to see his family together.  One of my favorite memories is how Grandpa taught me how to boogie board in California. Every year I went over to visit, we would spend hours in the water; One time we went out SOOO far the water was deep enough to completely go over my head (Grammy was not too happy about that)! I think that is where I got my love of the ocean. From his famous fudge, to dressing up as Santa, to his amazing hugs, Grandpa will never be forgotten.

Dad you are the best bonus dad I could've ever ask for you always had a smile on your face no matter what..you from day one welcomed me and my kids and grandkids into your life with open arms❤️we will forever miss you love you dad🥰

How do you choose just one? From dressing up as Santa every year to camping to dropping everything to come over to offer advice on house repairs. All the trips with the grandkids whether it was locally to the zoo or pumpkin patch to the California beaches. I remember going with Dad and Tim during hunting season loving that they did something together as father and son. I loved when we would go on trips to magic mountain, dad was always there with us riding those roller coasters. So many memories. I was blessed to have him a part of mine and my families lives. He will be missed but I know he is waiting to greet us home. Love you Dad. 

I have lots of great memories of Dick. It seemed to me that Dick could do about anything. I think of some of the remolding projects at their home in Phoenix all were done better than anyone that they could have hired to do. Dick had a great love for my sister and would do anything for her. He was always so kind and generous and would go out of his way to help his family and friends. Even when Dick was in failing health he still helped others. I will miss him. Blessings Bud 

Grandpa was the sweetest most caring man. He always went out of his way to make sure everybody was happy and having a great time. I can still hear his happy little voice saying "hi Jordie!" and giving me a huge squeeze hug. I think back to going to the beach all day, and seeing you two sitting at the tables at Mission beach watching all us girls going on rides. Grandpa was so happy and content watching us have fun for hours. I remember coming back from shopping sprees and all of us girls would put on a fashion show of our new clothes we had bought, grandpa would sit there while each of us came out and always said how great everything looked.
 I love you so much Grandpa, and I will never forget all the great times we had together and how loved you made us all feel.

Sandi,  many happy memories of your mom and dad not only at HVBC but at your parents house as well.    Molly and I spent many hours at their pool and enjoyed all the fun things your mom always had planned for the kids.  Miss the good ole days!  
Our sympathy and sincere condolences to you and your family. Your dad was a good man. And he is enjoying his rewards in heaven. Hugs and love to you to all of you.   

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Dodge. I wish I had because Hunter McKnight and Rylee Peck say he was the best, and that's good enough for me. Remember the good times girls.

Dick was one of the most special people that I’ve ever met he was always funny and helpful He was just a great overall guy my heart is broken I’m sure I’ll see him again someday my condolences to the family I love y’all

My memory of Dick was that he was very kind and gentle man. He always had a smile on his face and made me feel welcomed!     I met him when i was in 6th grade and became friends with Sandi.  I remember thinking he was so cool allowing Us to play in the empty pool, or letting Sandi to teach me to drive her car I think it was a Spider. I have thought of you all often over the years!  You are all in my prayers as I know he will be missed dearly!
