Dad, it's not the same without you! I know your now resting in 
Gods palace and seeing his beautiful face everyday. I can imagine that you had questions after questions and one on one talks with God. I can hear your laughter and see your smiling face enjoying your time with him and singing to him with the angels!
But I just wish I could see you just one last time and tell you once again how much I love ❤️ you and thank you for loving me and all my children! We will never again have a caring and loving dad and grandpa like you! Until we meet again! Hugs and kisses 😘 I will Love 💗 you forever Dad!

What can I say or put into words that truly captures what you mean to me? How do you say goodbye to your hero? My world came crashing down when I got the phone call. I never knew the pain of a broken heart until that day. Every morning started with you and now you have gone to be with our Father and blessed Mother in heaven. I know I was blessed with the time I had but I’m selfish and I wish we had more. I have so many great memories, but since you’ve been gone, it is hard to think of just one. Time has been a blur and everything is melting together, but the more I remember you, they are finally coming back. I already miss you more than any words can express. I miss going outside and seeing you in your spot reading the paper or the mail or outside talking on the phone with my tia and tio, or when you are fixing your rosaries. I miss the little things and your little smirk you get when you start teasing mom. I’ll miss the laughs we shared and your stories. Oh, how I will miss your stories! If I never said it out loud, thank you for always being there for me and for the lessons. You were a great teacher and you taught me so much, even when you weren’t trying- Just you being you. You did your job dad and you can now be at peace in Heaven. I Love You So Much Mi Apa! I will try my best to live a good life so that one day we can meet again. 

Mr. Nieto , We miss you. My wife, Marlene, and I  always looked forward to seeing you and your family at St. Jerome. You always displayed great confidence , love and you smiled with great joy . You are at rest with God the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  Someday  we will see you in heaven. May the Holy Spirit comfort your family .  Michael  and Marlene Martinez

Our heartfelt sympathy on Richards's passing, to Lupe, his children, and the Nieto Family.  Words don't suffice to express the sadness we feel when a loved one passes, but our Lord knows when to give them rest and Richard was one of his best angels here on earth.  I have the green scapular he gave me that I treasure because it was given with such devotion.  Our prayers of comfort go out to his family.

Tio Richard, losing you was like losing a second father. You stepped in when my Dad passed so long ago. You were a force of nature! A one in a million kind of man! My Mom will miss your daily phone calls and sibling disagreements! You have left a huge hole in our family that no one will be able to fill. I admired your fierce faith and devotion to our Lord and Blessed Mother and I know heaven is a better place with you in it. Love you always! 

Grandpa you made my childhood unforgettable. You are the best grandpa I could have ever asked for. I’ll never forget our talks on the drives home from school, Sundays and late nights at church, camping trips, all the times you applauded when I sang you songs I barely knew the words too. Most of all I will never forget your voice saying “Hey Baby!” and every Sunday after church laying down with you watching the History chanel. When you would hug me and rub your scruffy beard on me, I never showed how much it hurt because I loved you so much and I knew that some day I wouldn’t get the chance to feel it again. I could go on and on but I know you know what is in my heart Grandpa. It hurts me beyond measure to let you go but I know I will see you again and it will be the greatest reunion.

It’s so hard to let you go Uncle Richard but to know you’re in a place where you’re not in pain and you’re seeing your brothers and sisters and my beloved mom makes me happy.
You have always made all of us feel very special with your loving attitude, jokes and smiling face… that’s what I picture now in my head is that smiling face of yours and it makes me smile.
It has really hit us hard because you were such a special, loving, God-fearing person thank you for the great memories Rest In Peace  my loving Uncle Richard ❤️

Dad, thanks for everything you taught me.   I had a great childhood, and will cherish our 40 years together. Going miss you everyday. I know this isn’t good bye forever, but rather, just till next time. If you can, meet me at the crossroads, or I will find you in the next life. Till then, just know, I’ll always love you. Richard Dimas Nieto Sr. 79, was called home to celebrate the Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 22, 2021. Richard was a humble man who was rich in faith and family. He usually had a smile on his face and a story or joke to tell. Born in Phoenix to Matias and Gabriela Nieto, he learned the value of hard and honest work in agriculture. At the age of 13, his father passed away and shortly afterwards he joined the Arizona Army National Guard to help his family. He proudly served 28 years in the Guard and retired after 34 years from the City of Phoenix where he earned several awards. After retiring, he visited Israel, making it to the Promised Land. Later, he worked 9 years with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 41 years, Guadalupe, his children Cecilia, Cynthia, Michelle, Richard Jr, Faith, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, his brothers David, Joe, Ray and his sisters Ida and Francis. He was a patriot who loved America. ”If love could save you, you would
have lived forever.”
Donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Jude Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
