

He was born in Los Angelas California on July 4th 1943. Richard graduated from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera California in 1962. He married the love of his life, Irene in 1966. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who served his country with pride.
Richard worked in aviation and retired from Delta Airlines after 30 years in the industry.
Richard was a Godly man of Christ who loved worshipping the Lord and helping others. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed joking around with his grandchildren. He was a natural athlete in baseball, tennis, scuba diving, surfing and golf. He fought multiple myeloma for 13 years and was our superman.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Maria Vidana and his son in law Mark Thomason.
He is survived by his wife Irene, daughter’s Sandra Larkin (Jim), Arlene Thomason, his son Richard Vidana (Bethanie), daughter Christina Vidana, grandchildren Cameron Vidana (Daua), Jack Larkin, Elizabeth Larkin, Brandon Thomason, Mariah McCormick (Austin), Joseph Thomason, Christian Vidana (Ricardo), Cody Vidana (Winter), Dylan Vidana, Savannah Vidana, Sienna Harrison (Dylan), Amaury Kirksey, Cordae Kirksey, Jade Vidana, Zayden Kirksey, RaeLynn Vidana, and great-grandchildren Eli Vidana, Devyn Vidana, Rhyze Vidana, Alayiah Holeman, Theodore Vidana, Harvey Vidana and his brother Frank Vidana and many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022, US, on August 8, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Catering to follow from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
