Rita Alice McCarthy, 90, born in Worchester, Mass on August 5, 1921, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on March 12, 2012. She was married to her beloved John, who passed away in October, 1999. She is the loving mother of Lorraine, Pam, Jodi and Keith (Susie), along with grandchildren Jackie, Beth, Mariah, Caeline, Kianna and two great grandchildren DaMari and Miniya. A visitation will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix on Thursday evening, March 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 16, 11:45 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, followed by graveside with military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
