Robert Bruce Black, 56, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on March 26th, 2020. He was born to parents Clinton Black and Genevieve Vickers on February 3rd, 1964. He attended Washington High school and lived all around the greater Phoenix area. He was married to Leslie Sanders in 1984. They then had three daughters Jennifer Marie, Tiffany Christine and Kristin Michelle. When Robert re-married in 1996 to Karen Pekula, he then gained a stepson Jacob Daniel Frazier. Just before the passing of Jacob in 2007, Robert and Karen took in Jacob’s friend Danijella and raised her as their own. He was an amazing father to all his kids and also an amazing grandpa to Ava (7), Jovie (5), Paisley D. (2) and adopted granddaughter Paisley M (1). He grew up with his brother Kenny Klein, Paula Sharpe and his best friend Jeff Villain who was a brother at heart since early in their childhood. He also had another sister, Thenelda (Beth) Black whom he never got to meet since she passed the year before he was born, though he did keep in contact with her children for the remainder of his life. Although he was quite the ladies man, he finally found Shannon well over a year before he passed. He, Shannon and her daughter Addi spent all of their time together. Shannon brought out some of the best sides in Robert.
Robert was known for his huge loving heart and bright fun-loving personality. He also LOVED the outdoors. He basically “lived” at Lake Pleasant throughout his life. He spent most of his time outdoors whether it was working for his landscaping company, taking the family out ATV riding, going on rides on his motorcycle, hanging out by the pool or on the lake, or if it was cool enough even hanging out by the campfire under the night sky.
Robert is greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
