Robert Cruz, age 86, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2012. Robert was born in Ponsa, Puerto Rico and had lived in the Valley of the Sun for the last 51 years. He served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II and for 33 years was a valued employee of American Air Lines. Robert was a detailed cartoon artist and had a special gift for music and dancing. He is survived by his adored wife, Virginia; grandson Eric; his sisters Valentine and Frances; nieces and nephews Joseph, Maria, Philip, Robert, Seleste and Caroline. Robert was predeceased by his treasured daughter Diane and his brother Joe. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 beginning at 12:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W.
