

71, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2010. He was a fun-loving and generous man born
in St. Louis, MO., to William A. Goforth Sr., a railroad engineer, and Velmor M. Jones, a telephone operator. He was the youngest of three children born on May 4, 1939, and was a brother to William A. Goforth Jr., a policeman in AZ, and Barbara Jean (Susie) Hubbs of IL. Bob was a loving husband to Mary of 39 years and a father to Robert, Susan (Gary) and Stephen (Cathy) of IL. Karen Catalanotte (Bill), Gary Winter of CA. and Dale Winter (Donna). He was also an awesome grandfather to 17 and a great grandfather to 5. After graduating from Dupo, IL. High School in 1957, Bob served 8 years in
the Air Force. His life journey included being an accomplished singer and musician, being an independent barber shop owner, having a passion for 50 years being Santa and working with the many, many wonderful people at MVD throughout AZ. We will truly miss Bob's wit and humor, and still today find ourselves laughing with memories. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010, from 5-8 pm. Memorial services will be held at the Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10:00 am. Bob was an SECC Coordinator for the Motor Vehicle Dept. in AZ.
