Robert Lobster Bob Gerald Hastings

66 of Phoenix, AZ passed away on March 13, 2013 at Thunderbird Hospital in Glendale, AZ. Bob was born Nov 17, 1946 in Lewiston, ME the son of Arthur Hastings and Evlyn Pomerleau. He is survived by Donna Hastings, daughter Bobbi Kim Holbrook (Tim) of Auburn, ME, two grandchildren Miranda and Sean, two great grandchildren, Jacob and Lilly, daughter-in-law Marcia Gorham (Marty) of Westbrook, ME, three grandchildren Christopher, Justin, and Callie. Sister Ann Smith and brother Larry of Lewiston, ME, brother Arthur of CA. Mother-in-law Theresa Dearborn, and brother-in-law Charles Dearborn of Glendale, sister-in-law Jean Piper Romberger (Richard) of Litchfield Park, AZ and Geri Peterson (James) of Virginia. Also many life-long friends including Gene LeCompte and Lou Doyon from Lewiston, ME. Bob grew up in Lewiston, ME and played hockey in high school. He graduated from Southern Maine Vocational Institute in South Portland, ME as a plumber/electrician. He met the love of his life Donna in Portland, Maine and they married and moved to Phoenix in 1986. Bob was a life-long hockey fan and followed the Phoenix Coyotes and his favorite Boston teams-the Boston Bruins and also the New England Patriots football team. He held many jobs over the years, from commercial fishing in Maine to working as a plumber and electrician for several local plumbing companies. There will be a service for Bob at Church USA 8340 W. Northern Ave. Bldg C in Glendale on Sat. March 23 at 12 pm. A future celebration of Bob's life and final resting place will be held in Lewiston ME at a later date.
