Robert Roy Moore, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went to his eternal resting place on June 8, 2018. He was born in Buffalo, New York to Leona Link Moore and William Moore on July 9, 1934.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years (Audrey), daughter Cheryl Oyaski (Michael), son Robert (Lisa), three grandchildren (Nicholas Moore, Christopher Moore, and Sarah Moore), a brother (Brian Moore), a sister (Kathleen Moore), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert and Audrey were high school sweethearts who began their lifelong relationship in 1952 and married in 1955. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis in 1958 and established an extremely successful practice in Western New York for nearly 36 years. In 1994, he followed family to the West and became a permanent Arizona resident for the remainder of his life. During his time in Phoenix, he continued his God-given gift of helping others as a clinical hypnotherapist for nearly 18 years. His entire life was focused on helping others. Those who knew him best know he is continuing that right now and know he was one of the most selfless people they had ever met. Anyone who knew him would say they were better off for having done so.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers (Edmund, Charles, and Patrick). A private committal service is planned at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times, and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun
of happy memories I leave behind
when day is done.
