

Rogelio "Quelo" Lopez-Garcia, 65, was born in Durango, Durango, Mexico in 1951. He came to Phoenix in 1974 to be a drummer for a local band. He then remained in Glendale where he met his wife and started a family. He became ill with renal disease and dedicated the rest of his life to his treatments. He ascended into heaven, Saturday evening on April 23nd 2016.
He lived for music as he was an extremely talented musican with many hats. He was a drummer, dj, recording and sound engineer. He recorded many local and out of state bands. He loved watching soccer games on tv and enjoyed the company of his pet cats.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Anaya-Garcia, and his 3 daughters, Maria Mejia (Ruben), Angela, and Victoria.
Rogelio was a dialysis patient for 10 years and made many friends at the center where he took his treatments. He will be greatly missed and he left many great memories with those he came to know.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Anaya-Garcia Fiesta Scholarship.

Memorial and viewing services will take place on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Greer-Wilson Chapel, 5921 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ from 11am-2pm.
