Roger was born in Pennsylvania to Edith (Moyle) and Stanley Marvin Sr, the youngest of four siblings.
Roger and his family moved to San Diego, California when Roger was very young. Roger went all through school in San Diego and graduated from Crofford High School in 1971. After high school, Roger became a apprentice machinist with a Aerospace Firm {Rohr} in Chula Vista, It wasn’t long until Roger was on his own as a master machinist where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement in 2015.
Roger married into a family and instantly became a father to Brandon Blue. Later they became parents to another son Jesse Marvin. Although this unity did not last, they all stayed connected and were close until his passing.
Later in life, Roger rekindled a relationship with, Patricia, whom he had met when they were just 11 years old (Patricia had also asked Roger to marry her when she was 18, but it didn’t happen at that time). Patricia, like Roger, had married someone else and she had 2 sons of her own Brian and William McClure, but soon became a widow in 1987. From then on Roger and Patricia were inseparable. For the next 10 years they raised their families, worked, and did everything together. Then right at 10 years, while at a party, Patricia introduced Roger as her boyfriend. That didn’t sit well with Roger; “not her husband or fiancé’… that is when Roger asked Patricia, “are you going to marry me or not?”. Roger and Patricia were soon married in 2001 at a beautiful hotel in San Diego.
Roger was a very loving and caring man. He loved ALL of his family, from his 4 sons and their spouses; ALL of his grandchildren biological and extended (13 in total) and enjoyed many close friends and lots of family.
Roger leaves behind his love Patricia; children 4 sons; grandchildren 13.
Roger was greeted in Heaven by his parents Stanley Sr. and Edith; siblings Stuart, Stanley Jr. & Eileen.
