Ronald “Butch AKA Marty” Martin, 78, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. Born on March 10, 1947, in Cleveland, Butch was a beloved husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Butch proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and carried that spirit of service and dedication throughout his life. He was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he found strength, community, and purpose.
A true people person, Butch cherished time spent with family and friends. He was happiest sharing stories from his life, often filled with humor, wisdom, and heart. He loved taking short trips to explore new places, enjoying the sights and sounds wherever he went. Known for his genuine nature, infectious laughter, generous spirit, and loving heart, Butch had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and welcome.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heide Martin; his daughter, Vanessa Ricco; and his son-in-law, James Ricco. His memory will live on through the lives he touched with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
