Ronald Kenneth Shaffer

December 18, 1974 – July 26, 2022

Ron passed away on July 26, 2022, at the age of 47. He was born on December 18, 1974, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Kenneth and Ruth Shaffer.

Ron leaves behind his daughter Caitlyn and her husband Tyler Schofield, his mother Ruth Wilson and her husband John Bambalere, his sister Laura and her husband Bart Farrell, his stepbrother Lloyd Wilson, and his niece Heidi Daugherty. He is predeceased by his father and stepfather.

Ron worked as a corrections officer for the Arizona State Department of Corrections in Florence, Arizona, and a private prison in Eloy, Arizona, for 14 years. Most recently, he managed several restaurants in the Phoenix area and Flagstaff.

Ron loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, cooking, video games, action movies, and music. He also loved to play his guitar and sports.

Ron's family and friends grieve the loss of him, and he will be dearly missed. However, they are consoled by knowing he is finally free of the pain and torment of this earthly world, and he has been welcomed into God's loving arms.

A memorial service for Ron will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2002, at 12 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Sun City located at 11019 W. Peoria Avenue, Sun City, Arizona 85351.
