Rosie Lopez

Rosie Lopez, age 74, passed away peacefully, in her sleep in her family home, on Sunday March 5th 2023. Rosie was born February 19th 1949 in Tucson, Arizona to her mother Ruby Leon Castro, and her Father Manuel Quijada Otero, the oldest of 8 siblings.

Rosie met the Love of her life Ernesto Lopez in 1971, and they married January 16th 1976. They recently celebrated 47 years of marriage. Together they have 6 children; Maryann, Kelly, Carrie, Ernesto Jr, Josie, and Jessica. and 1 adopted son Eric (Q). Rosie worked various jobs throughout her life, but spent most days as a homemaker. In her later years she gained the reputation of "Food Fairy". She had so much Joy blessing her Children and Grandchildren with food boxes, it was her way of showing Love to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Alfred and Daniel. She is survived by her Husband, 7 Children, 30 Grand children, 35 Great GrandChildren.

An Intimate Prayer will be held on March 24th, 2023 at 1 pm at Advantage Mortuary 6901 West Indian School Road., Phoenix, Arizona 85033. A "Celebration of Life" and reception will follow.
