Ruby Lanell Mautz

Ruby Lanell Mautz moved on to be with her heavenly father and family on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.

She was a lover of music, singing and all things beautiful. Kind of heart and gentle of spirit, she was preceded in her departure by her adoring husband Nick, children Ray and Karren, and her favorite granddog Taz (a.k.a. "Wee").

She is survived by her forever-loving and devoted daughter Joan and son-in-law Bill, granddaughter Erin and great-grandchildren Ally and Mitch.

The family wishes to thank the kind and dedicated staff at Beatitudes Campus -- Sandy, Sarah, Christine, Nicole, Cindy, Patty, Aretha and many others; the generous and selfless people of Hospice of the Valley -- Randy, Ashlie, Katherine, Debra, Roman, Julia, Emily and Dr. Hamilton; Chaplain Dave and Father Wilt; and all who cared for Ruby and shared with us through her final hours. Special appreciation to our dear friend Rick for his unflagging support and companionship.

Our angel has joined the heavenly choir. Let us hope they know some show tunes.

A private service will be held in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family encourages donations to Beatitudes Campus and Hospice of the Valley.
