Ruth Ellen (Alexander) Fairbairn, 77, of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with The Lord on December 2, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1938 in Mancelona, MI. She was the oldest daughter of William and Violet Alexander. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and son Virgil Zane Fairbairn II. She is survived by her siblings: Alice, Mary, Ethel, Barb, Sharon, Susie, Kathy, Jim, John and Art. Ruth is also survived by her loving husband Virgil Zane Fairbairn, their four children; Elaine Richter, Rhonda Crowner, Richard Allen Fairbairn and Joseph Troy Fairbairn; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Ruth will always be remembered for her giving heart, that some would say was even bigger than she was, for the beauty that she filled this world with and for how hard working she was, no matter how small or large the task at hand was.
