Born in Hanford, California, Salvador grew up in Arizona residing in Peoria, Williams, and ultimately, Phoenix.
A graduate of Phoenix Union High School (Class of 1943), Sal reported for duty with the U. S. Navy the day after graduation. His years of service during World War II impacted him greatly and shaped the outstanding person he became.
Sal was especially proud of having served overseas with his four brothers. He was grateful that all five returned from war unscathed.
Sal was the last of 9 brothers and sisters whose lives reflected the times and challenges of “The Greatest Generation”.
Salvador is survived by his wife of 72 years, Estela, and his children Philip (Maria), Alex (Delinda), Patrick, and Patsy (Tim), grandchildren Andrew (Laura), Christopher, Marisa, and great grandchildren, Lucas and Lyra.
