Salvador Johny Romero, known to his family and friends as “Sal”, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 47 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on October 24, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was raised by his mother, Vitalina Romero as well as his grandfather, Max Romero.
Sal was a hard worker who was dedicated to every job he held. His hobbies included going fishing with his family, playing dominoes, and also going to yard sales. Sal would get up at the crack of dawn in the winter, during trout season, and be out of the door by 4 o’clock so he could catch fish. He loved travelling up north to enjoy the nature. During the summer he loved to go swimming. He enjoyed barbecuing with his family as well. Sal found much joy in spoiling his grandchildren. He loved doing crafts with his grandchildren and teaching them something new.
We will all remember Sal as the funny jokester who loved putting a smile on people’s faces. He was always willing to battle anyone who would attempt to pop lock against him. For a short time, Sal attended Glendale Community College along with his daughter Colette and his son Michael. Sal wanted to help other people by becoming a peer counselor.
Sal is survived by his longtime girlfriend Molly Hernandez, his children Colette (son-in-law Mark), Michael, Briana (son-in-law Antwon) and Nadia (daughter-in-law Erica). Nahvae, Christopher, Nakai, Bobby, Juicy, and Jaylah are his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Sal is also survived by his Mother, Vitalina Romero.
