Sarah Eloise Caldwell
February 23, 1922 – June 9, 2018
Sarah Eloise Caldwell was born in Louisville, Illinois to Ollo Fleener and Minnie Hardin on February 23, 1922.
During World War II Sarah worked at a defense plant installing rivets on the F4U Corsair aircraft.
She started her career with Western Electric Company in Indianapolis, Indiana in the early 1950’s and retired in 1980. Raised her family in Westfield, Indiana until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1980.
Was a member of the Eastern Star. She got involved with Arthur Murray dance studios and competed in ballroom dance competitions.
She enjoyed traveling and even made it to Europe, China, Asia, Alaska, and Hawaii. Sarah spent her time volunteering at the Phoenix Adult Community Centers.
She is survived by her two children Carol Dahn (Roger), Craig Caldwell (Barbara), her six grandchildren Stephanie, Candy, James, Zach, Brandon, and Logan, as well as her seven great-grandchildren.
