Sharon Heiden (Malaer) loving wife, sister, aunt, and amazing friend passed away on August 5, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was 67 years old and had fought a valiant six-year battle with primary peritoneal cancer. Sharon was born on August 22, 1956, in Sacramento, CA, to John and Dorothy Malaer. She spent most of her younger years in Oregon and moved to Arizona in 1989 where she started her career in the insurance industry and continued working until her passing. Sharon and Robert “Bruce” Heiden lived in Buckeye, AZ and were married for 20 years prior to Bruce’s death on February 15, 2024. They shared a passion for horses that was enduring and bonded them in a very special lifestyle.
Sharon is survived by her sister Jan Downey (Henry), and their children Kristen and Daniel and brother Dave McMichael (Jackee) and their children Bret and Kelly.
Sharon will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, her love for family and friends, and her passion for her work. She lived her life as a shining example of strength, love and courage. She demonstrated the profound power of the human spirit, and her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
