 Dear John,Pat,and Family,
 we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved grandson. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of bereavement.

Our condolences goes out to you Sheila and your family.  Just remember that the Lord lends us our children for a season.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences to the Neville and Johnson families.  Sheila, I pray that the Lord would comfort and strengthen you and the family.  Sherrod was a gift from God that he allowed us to share for a time upon the earth.  The five years that he was a part of my life, he was like the son I always wanted. I miss him.  Just a gifted, thoughtful, loving and caring young man who God always had his hand on.   Look forward to seeing you again in Heaven. Love you, Sherrod.

My deepest sympathies to the Johnson Family. I have to say he was and is one of God's precious angels. I would see him everyday when coming into daycare to pick up my kids and he always had something so sweet to say that would put a smile on your face and also bring the light back into your face after having a bad day. My daughter Jordan has very fond memories of him and is deeply saddened by his loss as well as alot of people that he has touched. He will truly be missed... You all are in my prayers and thoughts.

Whereas God in His divine wisdon has chosed Sherrod to be with Him at this time, we bow to His will although we are pained in His dicision we know He is to wise to make a mistake. Sweet, funny, smart, talented, Sherrod.  I loved you before you were born, the too short while you were here, and I will love and miss you always.

My wife, Beverly (Sherrod's great aunt) and I had a wonderful visit with Sherrod and his mom, Sheila, just before they moved to Arizona to be near his grandparents, Pat and John Neville.  The days spent with them were memorable indeed.

We enjoyed the company of a pleasant, courteous little boy for several days.  We had dinner with him, played with him, and watched his always attentive mom take care of him.

It was winter in Georgia and luckily we had an unusually heavy snowfall during Sherrod's visit.  I had the pleasure of building a snowman with him in the back yard.  A great snowman indeed:  made out of freshly fallen Georgia snow, crafted by Sherrod who had never played with snow before.

Neither cold nor darkness deterred Sherrod and my efforts to build a dandy snowman.  Sheila braved the cold and wet to take pictures of the momentous event.

I also enjoyed watching cartoons (especially SpongeBob SquarePants) with him before bedtime, and holding him; it reminded me of when my own son was Sherrod’s age.  

Good bye, Sherrod.  I will think of you fondly whenever thoughts of wonderful little boys cross my mind.
