November 3, 1945 – September 26, 2026
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Silverio Marquez Lopez, born in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, and raised in Nogales, Mexico.
Silverio was a devoted husband to Maria Guadalupe Lopez, an incredible father, a proud grandfather, a loving brother, and the heart of our family.
He was the kind of man who spent his entire life taking care of everyone else. His hands worked hard so his family could have more. His shoulders carried worries so his children didn’t have to. He sacrificed in ways we understood then, and in so many ways we are only beginning to understand now.
To his wife, he was a lifetime of love and memories. To his children, he was Dad, the man who made us feel like everything would somehow be okay simply because he was there. To his grandchildren, he was Grandpa, and there was no greater joy than watching the man who raised us love our children.
We thought we had more time.
More conversations. More family gatherings. More hugs. More chances to tell him how much we loved him.
And now we would give anything for just one ordinary day with him again.
The hardest part of losing Silverio is knowing that life will continue without someone who was such a huge part of ours. There will forever be an empty chair, a missing voice, and moments when we instinctively look for him and remember that he isn’t there.
But the love he gave us did not leave with him.
It lives in his wife. It lives in his children. It lives in his grandchildren. It lives in every person who was blessed to call him husband, Dad, Grandpa, brother, and family.
Dad, you spent your life making sure we were okay.
So now, even with tears in our eyes and broken hearts, we want you to know:
We’ve got Mom.
We’ve got each other.
You can rest now.
Thank you for giving us a life filled with your love. Thank you for being the kind of father we will spend the rest of our lives missing.
If love could have kept you here, Dad, you would have lived forever.
Until we see you again, we will carry you with us, every single day. 🤍🕊️
