

SA Everly was born April 15, 1948 in Munich Germany and passed away at home on May 27, 2022 from lung cancer at the age of 74. His adoptive parents, Major Raymond and Kathrine Mary Everly, were transferred from Germany to Wyoming when he was a young boy. They, he, and his younger sister settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming where Steve and his sister became Naturalized Citizens. With his Father’s permission, SA enlisted in the Navy after turning 17 in 1965. While in the Navy, SA completed his GED, served in Vietnam where he was wounded, and was discharged in 1969 when he was transferred to the Navy Reserve. Later he joined the Air Force and served two years as a procurement officer. SA lived life on his own terms and worked in a variety of fields. He earned a bachelor’s degree, owned several successful businesses, built furniture, managed commercial buildings, managed building projects, and many other things. He was a man of many talents. Steve loved the Old West and especially the desert. Arizona was his beloved home–he said he never wanted to leave. He is survived by his best friends Annette Petzel and Cheryl Lee Bauer, sister Mary Kelly, and Daughter Wendy. Interment is at the National Military Cemetery of Arizona on June 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
