Born Feb. 12, 1982 in Phoenix, AZ, he was a joy from the start. He was the first of six children to Steve and Sue Bratt. He was the one who taught us how to be parents. He taught us the joy of snails in your pockets. He taught us that it's truly fun to play in mud especially when your brother and sisters are with you tummy deep. He taught us that eating your morning toast into the shape of a gun was the right way to eat toast. He was kind right from the start. Always thought of others. Always loved a hug. As he grew up he became one who loved to cook and try out new recipes. And more so, he loved eating just about anything - from pbj sandwiches to octopus to squid and alligator, he was up for the challenge. Seth was a hard worker taking on his first job at 14 and was always a people person. From newborn babies, to war torn refugees in Kosovo, to the elderly in care facilities, he was there to help and encourage. He loved being a big brother to the younger 5. He and next in line brother Solomon taught sister Libby that being duct tapped to a toilet was their way of "loving" her.
As a young man, Seth loved traveling to foreign countries as a missionary for 4 years. "Words don't matter, Mom, when you can't speak the same language. Eyes speak." He loved his job at PrePass and the team he lead there. They were his day time family during the week. But most of all, he adored his two sons, Cyril and Liam. He lived for them. He dreamed for their futures. He taught them the joy of being playful. And considerate. And kind.
Seth looked face to face with Jesus on Friday, April 21st, 2023. No length of life would have been enough. He'll be greatly missed by Dad Steve and Mama Sue, brothers Solomon and Samuel, sisters Liberty, Selah and Shalom. Grandma Katie and Nana Happy will miss his hugs. And hundreds of others who enjoyed love and life with Seth will miss that amazing laugh. His sons Cyril and Liam will be taught how remarkable their daddy was. In lieu of flowers, should anyone want to bless the boys, there will be a savings fund set up to benefit the boys as they grow into adulthood. This will help with higher education, or getting their first car or moving out on their own one day. Cyril and Liam are the legacy anyone would be proud of as they were Seth's pride and joy. Donations can be sent to Sue Bratt thru Venmo or Zelle.
A party for all who loved Seth will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 10 am till noon. It will be located at Ventana Lakes Yacht Club. 20015 N. 108th Ave. Sun City, AZ 85373. We are requesting for those who will join us to please feel free to wear a Cardinals or Suns jersey or one of your favorite team shirts. He would have loved that. It will be a time of sharing. Please come Seize the Moment with us!
