Susan A Gunn

Susan Althea Gunn, 65, passed away on September 18, 2015 at home, after a long and brave battle with cancer surrounded by family. Sue, as she liked to be called, grew up in Salt Lake City Utah with her parents Steve and Althea Ellis along with her siblings Greg, Carol, Mark, John and Stefanie. Sue and husband Gary traveled through much of the country with stops in Virginia and Savannah while Gary was in the military. They also lived in Olathe Kansas City and St Peters Missouri before settling in New River Arizona.

Sue’s presence in life, sickness and death was marked with gentle kindness, unwavering devotion and humor. The memory of her will be a happy one. She loved her family more than anything. She was an avid reader, liked movies and long drives in the desert and mountains. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend.

Survivors of Sue include her husband Gary, Son Gary Jr (Sanda), Son Matt (Rene), Son Brian, Son Justin (Amanda), and Grandchildren Tanner, Carly, Katie, Mckinnon and Caden.

Services will be held on Sunday September 27, 2015 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
