Tammy grew up in a military family and moved around most of her life. She settled in Arizona because that is where she went to high school and fell in love with the state. Tammy is an Army veteran where she served until the birth of her daughter Rose. The discipline and patriotism she learned while in the Army never left her, as friends and family will attest. She graduated from the University of Phoenix and worked as head of security at multiple different businesses and hospitals.
Despite her hectic schedule, family and friends were Tammys passion in life. She would often be riding her motorcycle with her friends, going camping with her family, or just enjoying spending time with everyone. Tammy loved to collect everything under the sun and was known to keep everything of sentimental value. Tammy was a very loving mother who would always show her love and support for her children in everything they did.
Tammy is survived by her wife, Teresa Devine-Cowart, her daughter Rose Kientiz and her husband Brad Kientiz, and her two sons Stephen Cowart and James Cowart and his spouse Will Brewer. She also left behind three grandchildren: Magnus Riley, Waverly Riley, and Baron Kientiz.
A funeral service will be held on Friday March 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at National Cemetery of Arizona. Patriot Guard Riders will escort Tammy from Phoenix Memorial Park to the National Cemetery of Arizona at 1:30 PM.
