My Papa always had a funny joke available to make us laugh anytime we saw him. I will always remember his silly sense of humor like when he dyed his hair and beard purple or the day at Target he asked a complete stranger for a bit of his food!! I was so embarrassed but deep down I was laughing so hard! He was a wonderful grandfather and I will forever remember him cherish and love him!

I went camping with Thad and his girls. He started a fire in the morning and burned all of his arm hair. It was a great weekend.

Words seem so feeble in moments like these.Life is so precious, and death such a thief.

Love is a bond, that death cannot part.

Gone from your arms, but still in your heart.

I married Thad's brother Ed in 1963, our 56th anniversary is about 2 weeks away. I have always known Thad to be a wonderful member of our family--always much loved. My sisters children always felt they were part of the Sowell family because it was always so much fun at Thad and Bette's house. Love was unconditional for them too, and that is something you can't buy. We always will treasure the memories of Thad.
