Incredible father, brother, son, soul mate and friend Thomas P. Carlin passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2013 at the young age of 51. He leaves behind his beloved children and the light of his life, Tess (20) and Bryan (16). He also leaves his soul mate and fiancé Nicole Kilborn, her children and his lifelong friend, Jim Hack.
He was born June 14, 1962, spending his early years in Miller Beach, Indiana and moved with his parents and siblings to Arizona in 1970. Tom graduated from Alhambra High School in 1980 and went on to Arizona State University. He spent most of his professional career at American Express where he met Jim and leaves behind many treasured friends and coworkers.
Tom was known for his compassion, humor, integrity, loyalty, his voice and his music but most of all for the love, pride and hope he had for Tess and Bryan, and for the years yet to come with Nicole and her children. Tom was an avid biker and will be severely missed on a very special 20 mile stretch of canal that he rode with passion everyday. This loss leaves a tremendous hole in so many hearts that may never be filled.
Tom also leaves his parents; Randall and Sharon Carlin, sister Janis Clark (John), brother Randy (Debbie), brother Jeff (Chris), Tess & Bryan's mother Debbie and a legacy of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews that will forever miss him and the way he filled our lives.
A special thanks from our family to Nicole, Jim and Kathy Mason for their strength and support of Tess and Bryan and the rest of our family during this difficult time.
For my brother and my friend -
"we wept when it was all done.....
for being done too soon
for being done too soon"
Safe passage Tom. We love you and will miss you so much until we see you again.
