I met Tom about 4 years ago. I had moved into the mobile home park and I saw Tom and thought he was so very handsome and to be honest his red mustang caught my eye also. I was very lonely when I moved into the park. My husband of 40 years passed away only a year prior. Tom was born on October 9 and my husband passed away October 9, 2008. Tom always helped me get through that difficult day and we also got to celebrate Tom's birthday. 

One day I said "Hi Tom" and the next day he called and asked if I wanted to go to the casino with him. We caught a bus and off to the casino we went. When we got there we separated and I didn't see him for about 5 hours, we didn't even meet for lunch. In my mind, I didn't want to be clingy and I thought maybe Tom wanted to gamble alone. After that we got to know each other and when we went to the casino we enjoyed staying together and enjoyed playing on machine next to each other.

I visited Tom everyday at the mobile home park and nearly everyday when he was at Nancy's. We enjoyed going to the horse races, casino, movies, and out to eat. Tom always said I was a good eater because I would eat everything on my plate. We also enjoyed a trip to San Diego with Lisa and Nicole and family. I will never forget how handsome Tom looked the day of Nicole's wedding.

When I visited him at the care center he was usually sleeping. So I would come in and tickle his feet to wake him. He would laugh and wake right up.  We would play 5 cent bingo, listen to music, and occasionally have lunch together. Tom has met my daughter, grand kids, and great grand kids. They would always give Tom a hug and the little ones would run up to him and hug him. Then I met Tom's family and I received hugs from all of you. You all seem like my family. 

Now I say goodbye to Tom and hope heaven has a slot machine. Now, you are with Flo. Please watch over all of us.

This is with heavy heart. I was blessed to have spent nineteen wonderful years with Tom (Dad) and Flo (Ma). They will both continue to remain very close to my heart. Knowing that they will now reconnect in a better place gives me peace. My heart is with all of you. My family forever.  Much love, Pam

My deepest condolences Cousin Tommy, Jimmy, Nancy, Vicki and Lisa.  Your father is now back in the arms of your mother as it should be.  He was one of a kind and always nice to me and he certainly will be remembered by all who ever met him.  Just remember that the minute he closed his eyes on this earth he opened them in heaven where your mother's eyes were the first he saw and that indeed is a glorious thing!  RIP Uncle Tommy!
