

Born February 6, 1961 in El Paso, Texas, Tom Silva died peacefully in his home on August 18, 2015 with his wife at his side. The son of Oscar and Yolanda Silva, Oscar instilled into Tom the tenacious work ethic that he carried throughout his professional career. Tom attended Burges High school class of 1978, graduating with honors. He had a long and successful career in security management as a top performing salesman and head of analytical sales. Tom is survived by his wife, Melissa; his parents Oscar and Yolanda Silva; his five children Christina, Thomas, Celine, Marcus, and Amanda. Tom is also survived by his brother Oscar Silva and his wife Rita; his mother-in-law Mary Plemons; son-in-law Daniel Garcia; grandchildren Noah and Dylan, sisters, nephews and a niece.
Tom was a loving husband and a dedicated father; a strong, generous and an honest man. Tom was a fisherman, happiest near the water. He was a gifted amateur carpenter and sports enthusiast. Tom was also well known for his delicious meals, especially the unforgettable Thanksgiving dinners. Tom was an avid traveler, ultimately residing in Phoenix where he met Melissa and raised their family. Tom always prioritized his family over all else.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM, Phoenix Memorial Park Mortuary located at 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027.
