He was born in San Antonio,Texas on August 9,1936. He married the love of his life Elida. They lived happily as one for 63 years; he and his wife Elida were blessed to have 7 children.
He was preceded to heaven by his wife, 4 of his children Cynthia, Mike, David and Andrew Zambrano and a beloved granddaughter. He is survived by his daughter Virginia Romero, son Thomas Zambrano Jr, Connie Colter, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Thomas was a deeply beloved father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected but quick, just like he always hoped it would be.
While we lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and a loved one in him. He has been a rock to many. He was a master at humor. He was even a glorious pain in the neck, to what I'm sure is a small select few. No matter what happened, once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to us that was his greatest roll. He was also a friend, a coworker, cousin, brother, stand-in paternal figure to the fatherless, a handyman, and the list goes on.
We invite you all as we laugh, reminisce and smile together for a celebration of his life on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 starting with a visitation at 9 AM and funeral at 10 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Deacon Jim Cascio will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix.
