Timothy R. Morgan

Born in Sonora, Mexico on November 10, 1958, Timothy “Tim” Morgan was a beloved son of Philip and Betty Morgan and the second of their six children. After several years serving as missionaries in Chile, his family returned to the United States, and Phoenix became Tim’s home for the rest of his life.

Tim was baptized as a teenager and was a member of the Valley Church of Christ. After graduating from Paradise Valley High School, he received his Associate of Arts degree from Florida College. Tim then began his career in sales, where his kindness and warmth helped him connect easily with everyone he met. He later spent many years navigating the city streets as a dedicated professional driver, becoming a friendly and trusted face to countless passengers. In his final working years, Tim specialized in medical transportation for children, providing compassionate service to families in need.

On January 26, 2013, Tim married Nichole “Nikki” Lawrence. From the first time they met, Tim knew he wanted to marry Nikki. Eventually, he won her over and brought her from tropical Miami, Florida to the dry heat of Phoenix, Arizona. Together, they shared 13 years of love, laughter, and joyful humor, supporting each other through health challenges with unwavering devotion. As Tim faced Alzheimer's, Nikki served as his constant anchor. She fiercely championed his care and comfort until his unexpected passing from a heart attack on September 22, 2026. He was 67 years old.

He loved his family and cherished the time they spent together, from family meals to watching game shows and sports. He also shared a close relationship with his wife’s family, who considered him one of their own. Following his stroke, Tim spent the last six years of his life at Bella Vita Health and Rehabilitation Center. During that time, he became part of the community there and formed friendships with staff and fellow residents, many of whom came to know his humor, personality and warm heart.

Blessed with a sharp mathematical mind, Tim enjoyed the challenge of a Rubik’s Cube, the thrill of rolling the dice in Yahtzee, and the lively community of a game of bingo. Tim was a straightforward man with a gentle soul and a big heart. He will be remembered for his jokes, his tender blue eyes, and his fun-loving spirit.

Tim had a soft spot for Baby, their late sister’s dog, and Smoky, Tim and Nikki’s beloved pit bull mix. Smoky, who shared a special bond with Tim, will surely miss his favorite pal.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Nikki; his parents, Philip and Betty Morgan; his brother Mark Morgan; and sisters Lydia Murphy and Claudia Stephenson; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Laurel Clegg and brother Daniel Morgan.
