Tony’s extraordinary life began when he was born to professional wrestling’s power couple Roy McClarty and Shirley Strimple on November 19, 1953. He spent time growing up in Minneapolis, Chicago, Vancouver and then later, Phoenix. From there he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he joined the Tolleson Fire Department where he was a dedicated and highly-respected member of the public safety community, serving as a firefighter, engineer, captain, training captain, and interim fire chief during his 25-year career. During his retirement, he combined his love for the Lord with his passion for motorcycles and spread the message of the Gospel as a member of the Tribe of Judah Motorcycle Ministry. Despite the many fascinating and prestigious positions he held throughout his life, his favorite jobs were being a husband to his wife of 40 years, Nancy, father to his two daughters, Christy and Lynde, and grandfather to his beloved granddaughters, Gracelyn and Selah. While he will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on through the example he set for his family. His faith, strength, and unique brand of humor left an indelible mark on them and all who knew him.
