Viola Fernandez was born on February 21, 1965, and passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, cousins, and mother-in-law.
Viola is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, David Fernandez; her mother, Mary Aguirre; her sisters, Laurie Aguirre, Liz Rodriguez (Benny), and Olga Sainz (Fermin); her brother, Bobby Santos (Cindy), her brother in laws Richard Fernandez (Yolanda) and Arthur Madrid (Kara) as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Angelina Marie Fernandez; her sister, Angela; and her grandparents, Rosa and Vicente Garcia.
Viola loved her family deeply and cherished staying connected with those she loved. She regularly called her tías, tíos, and cousins just to check on them, say hello, and remind them they were in her thoughts. She had an incredible memory and never forgot a birthday, making each person feel special and remembered.
She also had a special love for her dogs, Milo and Duke. During her illness, David lovingly brought them to visit her, providing comfort during difficult days. Throughout her journey, David remained her constant source of strength, love, and unwavering support.
Viola's infectious laugh and radiant smile could brighten any room. She especially enjoyed traveling to Texas to spend time with her family there, creating countless treasured memories with her cousins and loved ones.
Viola's absence is deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. While our hearts mourn her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord, reunited with those who went before her and made whole once again. Her love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
