Violet Vivian Bower

Violet Vivian Bower, 104, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on October 27, 2015. Violet was born on April 22, 1911 to Ralph Hannibal Brown and Sarah Jane Snyder in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Violet was predeceased by her nine siblings Lena, Hallie, Cora, Maxwell, Frank, Jennie, Robert, Maxine and Margaret. She was also predeceased by her loving husband Reverend Harlan Herbert Bower, Violet and Harlan were married 7 May 1932 and they enjoyed over 63 years together until his passing in 1995. Violet and Harlan are survived by their two wonderful daughters, Patricia “Pat” (Floyd) and Sandra “Sandy” (Billy), Grandchildren: Don (Donna), Dave (Kris), Tim (Evelyn), Brian (Becky), Tonya (Scott), Vicki (Scott), Ron (Mara), Debbie (mother of 2 g-grandchildren), Beth ( mother of 2 g-grandchildren). They are also survived by Great-grandchildren: Mandy (Robbie), Leah (Phil), Ryan (Lindsay), Blake, Eric (Bonnie), Devon, Peyton, Allora, Megan, Rachel, Savannah, Lauren, Kyle, Reina, Meredith, Matthew, Ryan, Arden, Great-great-grandchildren: Christopher (d), Brandon, Breanna, D'Nelle, Jacob, Sophie and Mia. Violet is also survived by many Nephews and Nieces, more than 55 who will lovingly knew her as “Aunt Girt”. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Apollo Baptist Church: 11611 N. 51st Ave., Glendale, AZ. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 9:30, funeral services will begin at 10:30.
